As you step into Beijing Cafe, you are greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere. The interior is cozy yet modern, with large windows letting in natural light, creating a relaxed dining experience. The decor has a nod to traditional Chinese elements, but with a contemporary twist, making it an ideal spot for both casual meals and more intimate gatherings.

One of the standout features of the restaurant is its diverse menu, which caters to a wide variety of tastes and preferences. If you're a fan of appetizers, their crispy spring rolls are a must-try, with just the right amount of crunch and a delicious filling that leaves you wanting more. For those who love a good bowl of noodles, the hand-pulled noodles with tender beef or chicken are prepared fresh, ensuring every bite is flavorful and satisfying.

Main courses at Beijing Cafe are where the restaurant truly shines. The Peking Duck is, without a doubt, one of their signature dishes. The duck is perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside while tender and juicy on the inside. Served with thin pancakes, hoisin sauce, and fresh vegetables, it's an experience that transports you straight to Beijing. Another popular choice is the Kung Pao Chicken, a flavorful stir-fry that balances the heat of chili peppers with the sweetness of a soy-based sauce, topped off with roasted peanuts for added crunch.

If you’re in the mood for something a bit lighter, the Beijing Cafe also offers a variety of soups and vegetable dishes. The hot and sour soup is particularly refreshing, offering a perfect balance of spice and tang. For vegetarians, there’s no shortage of options, with dishes like sautéed bok choy, mapo tofu, and vegetable fried rice taking center stage.

The restaurant has also earned praise for its quick service and friendly staff. From the moment you walk in, you’re treated like family, with attentive servers who are always ready to offer recommendations or ensure your dining experience goes smoothly. The food arrives hot and fresh, with portions generous enough to satisfy even the hungriest appetites.

  • Our previous Chinese place went out (East Ocean) and when we called Beijing Cafe picked up instead of EO. We decided to give it a shot. We got 2 orders of the Honey Garlic Chicken and one order of the Roast Pork Fried Rice. The chicken was excellent and I really liked their honey. There is some type of sourness/uniqueness to the honey I can’t quite describe, you’ll have to try it. Onto the rice, most of the group were not impressed with the rice and said they wouldn’t order it again, I on the other hand enjoyed the fact the rice wasn’t heavily ladened with soy sauce, sicne I really enjoy adding the honey, which makes it a nice side pairing for your main dish. I’d recommend this place to a friend looking for good Chinese food. This ain’t some fancy place, and they pick up the phone (unlike P.F Changs)

  • Legit Hole-in-the-Wall Chinese Takeout – Hits the Spot! This place is exactly what you hope for when you’re craving some solid Chinese takeout. I got the General Tso’s Chicken dinner combo, and it did not disappoint. The chicken was crispy, coated in that perfect sweet and spicy sauce, and had just the right kick. The fried rice came loaded with pork, onions, and veggies, making every bite flavorful and satisfying. The broccoli was fresh with a nice crunch, balancing out all the goodness. Like any proper combo, it came with an egg roll and a fortune cookie—standard, but still a nice touch. I also got some hot and sour soup, which was surprisingly good—savory, tangy, and had just the right spice to warm you up. No fancy frills here, just good food, big portions, and solid flavors. If you’re looking for a reliable, no-nonsense takeout spot that actually delivers on taste, this is it. Will 100% be back!

  • Wow! The food quality is terrible, but if you want a huge quantity of food for quite a low price, this is the place for you! Also, the food came out about three minutes after I ordered it! So if speed is important to you, this is a great choice! Four stars because probably they're serving their target market well. But I can't recommend this to anyone who likes real Chinese food.

  • 4.5 stars. This is a great option for NY style Chinese takeout. Prices are reasonable and the food quality is respectable. Veggies are fresh and crisp. I would absolutely recommend.

  • Hungry for Asian after hitting North Beach ? Beijing Caféis your choice of traditional home-style Chinese food. Both of the dishes we devoured in a heartbeat were beyond our expectations and we were all anticipating this just by judging the Chinese crowd that was already there. I can certify that if you opt for the House Lo Mein (with a mix of meat, chicken, and shrimp) or the House Special Chow Mei Fun Shrimp , that differs from the other one as it is a thin noodle, you will swirl into them all the way! Usually, when I eat this type of dish at a food court in a mall, I feel a chunk of greased food in my stomach, but this wasn’t the case at Beijing Cafe, because you can tell it is homemade and that everything is cooked at the moment. The Won Ton cream cheese empanadas are a succulent bite of fried crispiness…. Kim its owner makes sure all are served as she remembers back during her time in China, so she can bring up to you that nostalgic feeling that you will only be able to experience at Beijing Cafe.

  • I’m a Chinese from NYC & have always been skeptical of Chinese food anywhere else. But I’m pleasantly surprised by Beijing Cafe! Taste, presentation, portion size all exceeded my expectations! I’m so glad to have found my new Chinese place to go to! Keep up the good work!!
